Welcome!
I'm so glad you're here.
My name is Anusha. I am a healer & artist living and working in occupied Dakota and Anishinaabe lands in so-called Minneapolis, Minnesota.
about samasti
Samasti Studio, originally AR Clay, was born in 2020 when I began making jewelry as a form of emotional release and creative expression at the beginning of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. My making is, and has always been, rooted in play. My pieces are made in tiny batches. No two are the same and I do not aim for perfection.
As my skillset and vision have grown, so too has the range of pieces I create. On this site, you'll find a selection of thoughtfully designed jewelry handmade by me. I also sell carefully curated vintage home goods and jewelry with a mission of bringing sustainable & affordable style to your home.

mutual aid
Samasti is a Sanskrit word meaning "a collective," or "an aggregate or parts making up a whole". Since beginning this project in 2020, my focus has been on art and creativity as vehicles for connection and community. From 2020-2023, I redistributed 100% of profits from every single sale in the form of mutual aid and direct citizen-level reparations, paying myself only for material costs of making jewelry. Please visit my Instagram for receipts and more information.
With the transition from AR Clay to Samasti Studio in 2023, this beautiful project became larger than I ever imagined it would be. With sustainability in mind, starting in 2024, web sales from samastistudio.com were used to pay for my materials and operating costs, just like any other business.
In addition to my web sales, I also hold separate, Instagram story sales, with profits redistributed as mutual aid and direct citizen level reparations. I am hopeful that this balance will allow me to continue sustaining myself and furthering my mission of collective and community care.
Please reach out through my website or instagram with questions or to learn more about my mutual aid practices.
